New Blog!

Hello!  I have decided to start a blog to document my "Life on the Run"!  My husband and I have 5 children so we always feel like we are running!  I am somewhat new to the sport since we only began running about 2 years ago.  I fell in love with running after I did my 1st 5K back in May of 2010.  Since then I have gradually increased my distances from 5K to 10K now to half marathon!  Last summer we did our first sprint triathlons and really enjoyed that sport as well.  Since it's a seasonal sport, we were each only able to do 2, but we are looking forward to doing more this summer!  So I think I am more of a runner than a triathlete, but I will be writing about both sports.

I don't know how often I will be able to post on here, but I am going to give it a try!  I enjoy reading other runners' blogs and have learned a lot from them.  So if I come across information that I find interesting or helpful, I will post it on here.  For the most part, I am going to just document how we balance our training and competitions while also having a big family.  It's not always easy, but we have found it so important to make it one of our top priorities for our health both physically and mentally.  I am not the best writer by any means, so it's definitely not one of my talents! But, hopefully you will enjoy reading my blog!
